Death Valley Sand Dunes

Today was another long day of driving to make it to death valley. Our first stop was Dante's Point where we looked out over the death valley extensional basin. We had to predict where certain facies were located and where any good quality reservoirs would potentially be. The next stop was the Mesquite Sand Dunes where we were looking at aeolian facies and then finally a stop to see some lake shoreline deposits.
