Custom House and Harbour Chambers
A dull overcast day with rain later.
I had final preparations for the Children's Hearings with the actual Hearings in the afternoon. They turned out even more complex than I imagined and two Hearings lasted 3 and a half hours rather than the usual 2 and a half!
On the way home I decided to blip this detail at the top of the Custom House and Harbour Chambers. It is the Royal Arms - very delicate and colourful. Apparently, from the mid 18th century until 1803, Pierson Lodgings, which were latterly known as Old Custom House, (originally dating from around 1591), operated as the Customs House for Dundee.
At present the building is empty but it is hoped it will be sold as flats. It certainly is a prominent building, just off the Town Centre and next to the old Harbour.
Blip Central has finally revealed the 'Surprise' - so, taking advantage of it I have added a photo from this morning of a wide open Tulip.
