SKYLARK

Alauda arvensis

The old cemetery on the Headland is full of larks and pipits singing their heads off to try and distract passers-by from their nests in the grass. I even saw a couple of grey partridge up there, which I've never noticed before, scurrying about and being very evasive. I tried to blip them, but they're too well camouflaged.

I'm heading down south tomorrow for a few days with Mum for the first time since early December. I'll try and catch up with everyone's journals very soon. xx
