Meet Eddie

Named after Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards - GBs rather hapless ski jumper from the 1988 winter olympics.

Why have I called it Eddie? Well it is obviously completely rubbish as a homing pigeon. It has taken up residence in our garden for the last couple of days - it seems to like our wild bird seed. It was nearly an ex-pigeon yesterday when Finlay decided to try and catch it.

Both legs are ringed but according a racing pigeon website I need to be able to ascertain the numbers on those rings before I can report it! It is quite tame - I can get to just about arms length - but it hops away a bit so I can't actually catch it.

Even if I could get in touch with the owner I am not sure they would want it back as it doesn't work properly!!
