From the dark corner.....

Time keeps slipping away......

I went to work without a jacket today as I believed the weather forecast. It wasn't freezing but I certainly felt that early morning chill and hurried into the council house gratefully when the door opened.

It was a busy day as office ones usually are. I had my monthly progress meeting with my manager first thing. It's always brief and early (my choice!) so the day can only get better from then on for both of us with an 8am start. Actually I'm not that bad to manage and I was able to pose a couple of important questions to be fired back up the tree.

The morning flew and then I went out to pick up a Power Bar from the EE shop which can be used for charging your phone when you are out for the day with no power socket around. I use something similar anyway and usually charge my phone while in the cinema as I can't get a signal in there!

Before that I was leaning on a lamppost in the middle of the High Street having a chat in the sunshine when I noticed a big furry thing behind me! I glanced back and told my caller I'd better move as a camera man complete with a big microphone and TV news lady had started interviewing Nigel Knowles who was standing in Solihull for the Labour Party. I wouldn't have known his name at the time but saw him on the local news later. It was a good idea to move away to avoid my talk being picked up!

After I'd bought three bags of mealworms and my battery charger, I headed back to work. It turned grey and a few spots of rain started when I left later. I caught the bus as the bird feed was too heavy to walk with.

My new favourite pigeon Pat, nearly fell of the bird feeder today after his wobbly twig balancing on Sunday. The moon was out again but posting the same as yesterday was something I had to resist, mainly because I could do without another fright!

Track? Something mellow from the wonderful Peter Green tonight - Time Keeps Slipping Away
