1959 MiG 21
Arie van den Ban always had the dream to study history and mythology, but never had the opportunity untill he had made a career in vending car tyres and went to univerity a way older age. Now he is graduated for some time already he wants to pass his dream on to the next generation by creating an experience museum called Historyland in Hellevoetsluis.
It is due to open its gates to the public summer 2015 and therefore the first items such as huge dinosaur skeletons are already arriving.
I had never heard about the man nor his mission untill much to my surprise I spotted an old Sovjet Russian Mikojan-Goerevitsj MiG-21 in a pasture.
It was designed in 1955 and taken into service in 1959, this specific jet was part of the Polish Airforce during the cold war.
It just had to become todays journal entry.
