Birthday Party

Yesterday I had my family birthday party.  My family from both my mom’s side and my dad’s side were there.  There were about 20 people there.  We set up three tables in my dining room for everyone to eat at.  We also had a table set up in the kitchen where all the food was.  The tables in the dining room had gray table cloths on them and each place was set with light blue silverware, a light blue plate and a zebra striped napkin to match the color scheme.   My mom always asks me what meal I want to have served at my party.  This year she made cheese potatoes, ham, and baked beans.  My mom also made a salad and had some other snacks out on the table.  After we ate we sat and talked for a little while.  Then my mom brought out may cake and everyone sang to me.  I blew out my candles and we cut the cake.  The cake was chocolate with peanut butter icing, but we had vanilla cupcakes for the people who didn’t want chocolate.  We also had ice cream to go with the cake.  Everyone could choose from either vanilla or salted caramel ice cream.  It was a really nice party and I’m glad that my family could all be there together.
