Panoramic View from Corryhabbie Hill

Backblip

Finally - the weather changed and warmed up considerably and we were able to get up in the hills for a walk!  It wasn't meant to be too challenging, in view of my recent back problems, so we decided against Ben Rinnes and chose Corryhabbie Hill instead, the other local Corbett (a hill between 2500 and 3000 feet high).

There was still snow clinging to the sides of the hill, but the sun shone down on us and the views were magnificent from every angle.  We enjoyed our picnic in the company of two roe deer, several black grouse and numerous hares!

According to a map in the cottage, there should have been a clearly marked path from the front door, but if there was, then we missed it:-)  Our route was very hard work, through thick heather and boggy slopes and I just couldn't manage to get to the summit, which was very disappointing.  However, the superb views more than made up for it.

This is our last full day in the cottage and it was certainly a memorable one:-)
