Waterfall.

We tried getting to this fall some time ago, but today, we took the stalkers path into the hills from Kylestrome. A bit of a slog on hard, stoney ground, 3 miles each way.

Tanni soon got the scent of a herd of deer and disappeared over the hill. Caught sight of her chasing around 20 over one hill, and then she appeared over another hill. A severe telling off, she knew she'd done wrong. I then got her walking closely behind me, with "stay close" and "good girl" comments while holding my hand out by my side. Repeated this several times during the walk, with complete obedience.

Got to the falls, and were quite impressive, although not as much water as last time. Continued to an area of ruined sheilings, summer accommodation for shepherds, and cattle herders. The dwellings were tiny, just about big enough for two people to lay down. One appeared to be built on an older hut circle, and there might be a chambered cairn too. Not marked on a map though.

Followed the same route back, and was glad to get back to the car. Had Tanni under control for a couple of minutes at the spot where she chased the deer, and although I could see them, Tanni missed spotting them..

A beautiful day again, even had my shorts on!!
