Over the river and thru the woods.....

We went to visit our friends today in Westchester County, New York.  It takes us about an hour and fifteen minutes on a good day but most days driving into New York are heavy traffic days.  Today was no exception. 

I took this photo as we were going over the Hudson River on the Tappan Zee Bridge. The Tappan Zee Bridge, is a cantilever bridge crossing the Hudson River at one of its widest points.  It's very scenic in that area. 

It was a balmy 80F today and everyone was out and about.  It felt good when we arrived at our friends house and went outside to sit on their deck and enjoy some drinks and snacks.  It was like a summer's day.  After spending time outside we went to a local restaurant for dinner.  I tried a cucumber martini before dinner.  Sounds strange right?  It was actually quite good.  It had a splash of lemonade in it and was refreshing.  I convinced myself it was healthy.  ;-)
