Barca

For any football fan, a once (at least) in a lifetime trip to Barcelona to see a game at the Nou Camp is essential. Today, with my son Tom (whose panorama this is) and fellow Blipper Eptas, that is what I did.

Barca beat Valencia 2-0, with goals in the first minute, by Luis Suarez, and the last minute by Lionel Messi, his 400th goal for Barcelona.  It was a terrific game of football, with consistently high levels of skill and energy from both teams, the like of which I have never seen before.

Of course, before the match there were beers and the most delicious patatas bravas and later a majestic view of the skyline from the roof of our hotel.

Two days to follow, in which we need to soak up the local culture.
