Goodbye May
I'm not taking very good photos recently.
But I liked the image of the wheelbarrow and spade in the mist - it reminded me of the pictures in the Percy the Park Keeper stories I used to read to Gemma and Joel years ago and have now rediscovered to read with Tess.
I pratted around with plants and soil and a trowel in the garden for about 5 hours today. I was finally defeated by the stress of planting marigolds in pots with Tess after school and the cold persistent misty rain soaking my aching shoulders.
I've noticed that the blip journal entries that I do that will be most interesting to me to look back on are not as interesting to other people.
It's nice to take time and get an interesting shot and get lots of views and comments but my instincts tell me it will be even more interesting for me to look back in a year and see what we were up to and what sort of day I've been having.
It was brilliant to feel well today - to have the strength to do what I needed to do and just get on with it.
Richard had his hospital appointment today and has been told he has nasal polyps and has to take steroids and go back for a CT scan (! - wasn't expecting that!) and maybe an operation but it's good to be finally getting somewhere.
Joel's head is better today. Phew.
Gemma's had a quiet day drawing and is being very lovely and good company. We're currently laughing at a very smart raven on Spring Watch. She's done a yet another really good drawing again today.
Happy sigh
