I do love horses
A gloriously bright, sunny day.
I am retired - I thought! This morning I spent time on the phone encouraging a friend in the ministry who was going through a very hard time. Immediately afterwards, I was preaching, via Skype, in a Discipleship Graduation conference in Bugiri, Uganda. 19 young men and women had completed the Discipleship Course I had introduced to the Church. It was thrilling to see them and to 'send them out' on the next stage of their journey of faith.
It was also encouraging for me that one of the Officers of the Baptist Union of Uganda was there to support those graduating. He spoke of how strategic it was what was happening in Bugiri and his hope was that this would spread throughout the Baptist Churches of Uganda. The whole thing lasted one hour and forty minutes and the connection stayed strong throughout.
I met Eleanor for a late lunch (for me) and on the way home I saw these horses enjoying a good graze in the sun. I really do enjoy seeing all the horses in the fields round about where we live.
I am looking forward to the big match this afternoon between a revitalised Manchester. United and the League leaders, Chelsea.
