Raising the standard

late night last night, and then just 6 hours sleep (which used to be a luxury!). up at 6, and off out for a run again (a bit further this morn). much cooler this morning and the rain started as i set off....weather is finally turning, just in time for a double bank holiday weekend.

on the tram and into work for a full morning meeting. strayed from my green tea to have a couple of coffees, needed the caffeine (after late night). surfaced from meeting at one, and wandered outside briefly to get some lunch. definately much cooler, and a sprinkle of rain.

good afternoon in the office, and then tram home.

i'd asked John and Rich if they'd be so kind as to drill my flag pole to my house, and as i drove onto my drive, i felt soooo chuffed to see my Union Jack flying high!! getting into the Diamond Jubilee spirit of things now, and tomorrow evening the bunting will go up, as will our garden marquee. can't wait for our Big Family Jubilee lunch on Sunday.

i've commissioned a special jubilee mufty tomorrow for work, dress in red, white or blue.....

now i'm writing my final food shopping list for Sunday, and also putting together my Best of British playlist!
