Indian Summer?

Arrived in Brockenhurst in the New Forest today to find it resembling a leafy, well-heeled English version of India, what with the steamy heat and wild animals strolling the town streets as if they owned them.

This horse seemed to have been misled by the signs outside the local bank - unless it was waiting to make a deposit!

Just round the corner, either of the two protagonists in this stand off in the bottom shot could have been fined for excessive use of the horn.

Elsewhere a group of donkeys were happily grazing a verge.

We'd enjoyed a leisurely drive down involving a stop for coffe and a stroll by the river in Blandford Forum and a pint and pub lunch in Burley, just inside the Forest (thanks to SarumStroller for recommending Burley in a recent blip of his)
