Thursday, April 16, 2015 -- Shoreline Fun
Strolling the shoreline this afternoon caused us to pass these two youngsters amusing themselves in the sand and surf. When I was a kid, my sis and I spent hours in the southern California communities of Carlsbad and Oceanside doing exactly what these two children are doing.
We would dig for sandcrabs until we had sand packed under every fingernail. My skin would turn from tawny brown to milk chocolate. All of my life I have tasted the ocean in my memories and find contentment when I have sand between my toes.
Good night from California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
