New City Art

Again, the classic line. Art is in the eye of the beholder.

This new sculpture...I don't get.

Even the title of the piece. The title is...WHAT'S WORSE THAN AN ELEPHANT WITH A RUNNY NOSE?

Is it supposed to be an elephant? It looks more like a giraffe to me.

Am I supposed to supply the punch line to the title question?  Answer: A giraffe with a twisted neck. I just don't know.

The art aside, one thing I do know. The price. 11 thousand dollars. It can be yours (or mine) for 11 thousand dollars.

Since art is in the eye (and wallet) of the beholder...I don't think I want this elephant/giraffe in my yard.

Now...if they bring the price down to 11 dollars...I might think about it.

P.S. The building behind the sculpture is the post office where Shelley and I used to work.
