And again

My daughters and I are doing it again – trying to read the books that have been short-listed for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. Then we are hoping to go to the Southbank Centre in June to see the authors. This has always been a great evening.

As I have already read three of the books, for other reasons, this reading is not such a daunting task as it has been in previous years. And it’s a good selection of books. And yes, this picture was taken outside in the sun – we up here have at last got the fine warm weather the south has been enjoying for a while. A good day for sitting out in the sun reading, but we are too busy with jobs and packing, as we go away tomorrow. We have a house in Dorset booked for a week and are really looking forward to it.  Especially if the weather stays like this!
