Temples Galore

I've had another lovely day with the couple I met yesterday. We met for breakfast and then went to a nearby market street for a wander and a wee nosy. We then caught a bus to the eastern part of the city to stroll along the Philosopher's Walk and visit the Silver Pavillion complex. From there we went to Eikan-do temple (the trees were in glorious colours) and ended the afternoon at Nanzen-ji, a fabulous Zen temple with great wee shrines up into the hills and a viaduct...as you do. We also shared a lunch in a Japanese restaurant - something I haven't done on my own partly because the total amount of food seems a bit big. Sharing two set meals among three people was just right.
