Shame about the food!

Should I grumble about a very generous gift?
What a beautiful setting. Just a shame about the food.
This was a present from my sister and brother-in-law.
Oulton Hall near Leeds is beautiful, as you can see.
However our Afternoon Tea was very disappointing .
The "dainty" sandwiches weren't very dainty, although the bread did have the crust cut off!
Very bland tasting as well.
The scones were hard. The strawberry jam didn't taste or contain any strawberries.
I would just call in "red" jam.
The cream also lacked any taste. ( not like we get in Cornwall)
Cakes didn't taste as good as they looked either. Left most of them.
The staff were very good though, and they made a good cup of tea!
Won't be going back.
