Auctioneers Gavel....in the making.

One of our neighbours asked me if I could make a Gavel for him like the one in the shot.
Today I have been, needless to say, in my w/shop and have completed the Gavel head turned from Yew. (One on the right). 
I copy turned it to the exact same measurements within a mm or two.
Next job is to turn the handle for it which will take a little longer as there is quite a bit of intricate turnings to be made.
I will blip the finished Gavel upon completion.

Makes a change from blossom and flower blips I have been doing recently.
