Shalford House

Our first visit to an open garden this year, clear blue skies and very nice temperature. Shalford house has 17 acres of garden and woodland in one direction and 30 acres of woodland the other way, with lots of streams and ponds, so you can imagine I didn't get round it all, still getting strength back in my legs. But very pleasant it was, quite a lot of colour for mid April. I'm not sure how old the house is, could be 1930's or 300 years older, but its nice and rustic and tea is served in the orangery.
