Our plans to paint the ceiling today were aborted when we realized it wasn't going to rain all day.  A last minute decision to visit Snoqualmie Falls was one of the best ones we've made in a while.  It ended up being a beautiful day and Alex loved seeing the waterfall.  Had a glass of wine at the lodge where we received multiple compliments from a group of intoxicated teachers who were thoroughly impressed with Alex who had pulled out his Spanish workbook at the table.  Show off.  Ha!  Drinks at our fav spot in Bellevue, Lot 3 and then dinner at Purple.  Ended up being the best unplanned day.
