Meet Silvester

This our cat Silvester I haven't blipped him much as he always looks dirty. He loves rolling in the dust and getting all his beautiful white fur all grey and is lazy at cleaning it. After the heavy rain last night there was no dirt to roll in today.

I never had a very good experience at the hospital yesterday afternoon .. I had appointment for 3pm and waited two hours. I am quite sure I was kept waiting by the house surgeon because when she did turn up, the first thing she said was, "I am only seeing you because your GP was insistent I saw you". She did have a look down my throat with the light thing.. and it wasn't going down very well so she gave me more anesthetic spray and had another go. I was told that my voice box was restricted and there were some red spots but no growths. Suggested I see a speech therapist and the specialist would see me in about two weeks. Then she started to read my notes from the scan and noticed that they had said my Thyroid was rather unusual shape and may be the specialist may get another scan done.

To sum it all up .. my Thyroid should cause my symptoms so it looks as my 13th rib may be the trouble. So all I can do is wait and hope my voice comes back, I don't get any more symptoms and all gets better on its own. So a mystery!

To top yesterday off I had a call from my insurance company to say I may have to take a cash payout and get the rebuild done myself.. but there is a but.. they still are waiting to check all the costing from the builder and if they are Ok they well pay the builder to build my house and I have to find a project manager. And if there is anything needed to do extra with the land of foundations the insurance company will cover all of those costs. I should know these answers in about two weeks time. I am not happy with this outcome but I may not have a choice!
