Charlotte Square ...
... a UNESCO world heritage site in Edinburgh's New Town. It was completed in 1820 and is now a private garden, though for three weeks in the summer it hosts the Edinburgh International Book Festival. The statue is Prince Albert. The official residence of the First Minister, Bute House' is at No. 6. At lunchtime today it was looking wonderful. If you're ever able to get to the Book Festival in August you won't be disappointed either by the events or by the venue
