Magnolia

Benmore Gardens, outside Dunoon, are wonderful at this time of year. On the wooded hillside above the old house, towering among the surrounding trees, are several huge magnolia trees - pink, white, fulsome and delicate. This flower is one of the lower blooms on a tall, elegant tree, and shows, just to the left of the flower, the wonderful furry bud that looks for all the world like a mouse.
