Duke Awaiting a Treat

This is a friend's dog, Duke. He will be 20 in June. That's right. Even his Vet cannot believe it. His age for the type of dog he is (mixed German Shepherd) is off the charts compared to human years.
He is in great shape except or being deaf and his cataracts only let hi see shadows. He takes some arthritis natural pills daily. When he was three his spine was so uncomfortable that the Vet suggested he get acupuncture. That took care of things for him.
Although now he will not always agree to go for a walk to the mail box down the hill from his house. Yesterday they told me that Duke took himself for a morning walk to a neighbour's house... you never know where the next treat is coming from.
He's a grand old guy.
