Ablaze

This beautiful bright orange flower was one of many varieties of flower on display in and around the gardens of Larnach Castle, on the Otago Peninsula near to the city of Dunedin. Today was a particularly gorgeous autumn day, with blue sky and a balmy warmth. The kind of day in which it's a real pleasure to be alive. OK, it did deteriorate slightly as the afternoon wire on, but by that time I was on a four-hour train trip on the Taeri Gorge Railway.
