47 Years and Still Celebrating
We were awake before 6:00 this morning, telling each other "Happy Anniversary." Then he was downstairs making me a press pot of Java Delight double chocolate coffee to start the day. Then we listened to Danny Oertli's song, "Will You Marry Me Again?"
I headed off to work to teach two classes, attend the Library Advisory Committee, and work in the Writing Center. Late in the afternoon I arrived home to continue the celebration. He had made dinner reservations at one of our favorite restaurants in Orange County.
On the highest hill overlooking the city of Orange, we enjoyed dinner, the sun slipping away, seeing the topside of Catalina Island, a bouquet of roses, dessert, and each other's company. Tonight was especially fun. Tomorrow we'll quit publicly celebrating this one. This has been a month long tremendously fun celebration of 47 years of marriage. Thank you to everyone who has joined in and increased our fun.
Good night from Southern California.
