Mono Monday - down to earth

I went to see Coventry City held to a 0-0 draw at Notts County today. In honour of the theme for today's Mono Monday challenge - earth - City fans were brought back down to earth after winning our previous three away games. There was some earthy language too. My alternative shot would have been this one, of Notts County's mascots, walking on some actual earth.

We travelled by train from Manchester, which worked well despite the train companies' traditional attempt at this season to cause misery for travellers by carrying out "engineering works." The highlight of the journey came on the station at Nottingham where an announcement said that "anyone seeing anything unusual on the station should report it to station staff."  I saw a chap wearing a rather colourful hat...
