A Chilly Morning

It might be April, but that does not mean that it is yet very warm here.  We live in a frost hollow and the temperature during the night fell to around -3C so that this birdbath was frozen solid throughout.  Today’s blip was taken fairly late on in the morning by which time it had started to thaw.  The past few days have been dull, cold and wet, today was bright and dry with spells of sunshine, but still very chilly for the time of year.

Today is the first day that it has been bright and dry enough for me to attempt to make good the leak left by our roofer, but it was still a little cold for my materials to function properly.  By the time that I had decided that it had warmed up sufficiently, I had moved awkwardly and trapped the nerve in my back, which caused the left leg to cramp severely putting me in considerable pain.  I decided to leave it until another day; looking at the synoptic charts most of the rest of the week should be similar to today.
