Glide

The hand made large canoe with the paddler maker is a thing of quiet beauty, truly, it just slips soundlessly through the water. 

Earlier the Pompeii exhibit - not the same as visiting the site, but still a good sense of the culture and beauty of the times.  And the power of a volcano - given that we sit beneath a huge one, our Mount Rainier, it is sobering.
