Happy Easter

I wanted a fluffy bunny but couldn't find one. I then thought about an Easter Egg... thank you Corellia and Flavia, for the sweetest thought,  but it was guzzled all too soon! The hens haven't laid but a very few eggs since 'Charlie' visited them last year and  those I had in stock were consumed in an omelette. 

Then I spied the baby rats.  There are three that have, most probably, been left motherless and are now raiding the seeds that the Goldfinch toss from the feeders.  They are messy birdsI  

I started watching and photographing the rats early this morning. Not an ugly adult in sight, these are rather cute.  I always think that if you buy one from a pet shop it's defined as 'cute' , a wild one is automatically hated by one and all. Truth to tell, seen like this, I can't help feeling that these are rather endearing but...!
