Scotland trip.

Countdown has begun.....I leave NZ on 26th April to go to my daughters (L) in Australia. I spend 2 nights with her, then we are off to Scotland, then 2 nights at her place before flying home. It will be 5 weeks from the time I leave home, until I get back.
The orange line on the map is the planned trip for this year. We are re-traveling some roads, such as from Fort William and around Skye, then around Fife and Monifieth.
After arriving in Edinburgh we are spending 4 nights there and going to the Fire Festival. This was a absolute must on L's list of things to do. Staying in Edinburgh for 4 nights, and I hope to go to Registar House and do some genealogy research (that's if I get the information together before I go).
L's wants to do the medical museum and the underground tour.
Then we pick up a rental car and head off to Falkirk Wheel, which I have seen before, and I think is well worth seeing.
We have one night on the way to our B&B at Seil where we are staying for 4 nights (south of Oban), so maybe stopping the night at Tarbet on our way there. On previous trips we have found the Visit Scotland visitor centres very helpful in booking accommodation.
As we take sooooooo …... long to get anywhere, it is a good plan to have accommodation pre-booked. If the navigation system says it will be 2 hours, you can be guaranteed that we will take 4 hours or more, for all the stops for taking photographs.
From Seil we have one night on the road before having a week on Skye. We have booked a cottage here, and my cousin & his wife (M & C) will be coming to stay with us from Monifieth (near Dundee). M is a Nicol whose family are from Skye & we are related on my Dad's mothers side of the family. We have stayed with them before on our trips to Scotland, so this time we are re-paying some of their hospitality.
We are meeting up with another (3rd or something like that!) cousin who lives on Skye. He is from my Dad's fathers side of the family, & whom I only made contact with a few months ago.
From there we head off to Kinghorn, to stay for 2 nights in a tree house. A friend has organised this through her son, who is one of the owners of Two Skies Jewellery. The other partner in the business lives in a tree house. Watch this space for blips on this!!
From there we head off to Monifieth to spend the rest of our holiday with M & C. Also catching up with another cousin who lives at Arboarth. We have a gg grandfather that is a 'mystery man' – no-one can find his death. Or what happened to him.

Anyone with any ideas of what else to see or do, please tell me!!
