Playa Juan Gomez
One of the reasons I chose Fuerteventura was for its beaches. I had read that you could find isolation down in the southern part of the island and with the newly hired car we drove down to the southern point of the Peninsula De Jandia where there is a Lighthouse and you can look back north and see both east and west coast lines backed by volcanic mountains. On the way back I decided to check out a small track and found this excellent beach which we had completely to ourselves for the whole day. Stunning place and it set a high president for the rest of the week and debated several times whether to come back each day rather than tour the rest of the island. However wisdom says that trying to repeat special experiences isn't always a good idea, especially if there something else you may miss out on.
One thing I haven't mentioned too much is the wind, and this was a very sheltered beach with calm sea allowing the only swim of the week. Later in the day we drove back via Playa de Jandia and stopped in a few places for photos and arrived back late, showered and and had another great fish dinner at El Capitain.
