Exciting and scary

I've been to a meeting today that was both exciting and scary.

I can't say any more just yet but we should be able to make an announcement later this week.

So as I can't talk about that I shall take as my text for today, street football.

Gone are the days of jumpers for goal posts.

In their place, 3 wheely bins at each end of the pitch make the goals.

Some rules remain in place:
1 Teams will be as many on each side as we can get.
2 No offsides.
3 No throw ins (because the pitch has no perimeter).
4 The game will end when we get called in for tea for the 4th time, or when Mum takes the ball away.
5 The owner of the ball is the referee.
6 If anyone argues with the referee he/she will take the ball home; The game will be abandoned and the referee's team will be the winners regardless of the score at the time.
7 If anyone disagrees with rule they need to get their own ball.
8 After we have been called in for tea (see rule 4) the next goal wins regardless of the score at the time.
9 If Mum takes the ball before the winning goal is scored the game will be a draw and we will sulk all night.
10 This is a new rule. Games may only be played on Tuesdays between 7.30 am and 5pm. This is because the bins get taken it around 5pm when people get home.
10a If the bins are not collected on Tuesday games may be played on Wednesday.

Enjoy the game
