Snow joke..

..OK. Spring is here! - maybe..

Several heavy hail storms through the night and all day. Woke to glorious sunshine, but with hailstones in the grass on the side of the road. At one point this morning, the ploughed area was white over with hailstones. Just shows that the soil temperature is still low..

Not really fit to do anything again, so been in the "office" again. Running out of "office" jobs now, unless I catalogue my pictures.. That can wait!

Tested the hanging pots that came yesterday in the polytunnel, the hooks are perfect for the crop bars, and they have a good deep bowl in the bottom to store water. Good for trailing tomatoes.

Did some more research into Marquees for Gala day. They've gone up in price, but now have free delivery, making them cheaper in the long run..

The hotel is really enjoying my Oca tubers, so I've been researching and ordering different colours. Also ordered seed for Skirret, a perennial parsnip. Leaves can be blanched in the spring, and the roots have a nutty parsnip/potato/beetroot flavour..Also got some tubers for Chinese Artichokes. These have the flavour of water chestnuts, and look like spiral snail shells.. Be interesting to grow..

Hoping for a better day tomorrow, but the forecast is for snow, several cm's..
