Wild weather

Woke to torrential rain blowing horizontally against the window, and it didn't get much better throughout the day.

This will sound laughable to most of you, but I am quite proud of this blip as its the first photo I have ever taken using manual focus! 

I had this picture in my head of a rain splattered window with fuzzy daffodils in the background but no matter what I tried, the autofocus always tried to focus on the daffodils outside the window ( not exactly what I was aiming for!)...... and then I remembered the manual focus.

I've played around a bit with this feature but could never understand why you would want to manually focus when the camera will do it for you - well now I know!  You manually focus when the camera wont focus on what you want - simple really  ;-)
