Kissapuu/Cat tree

Kissapuu  is a statue of Veikko Haukkavaara. It gaught my eye on my walk in the evening. Haukkavaara was an artist that is best known for his scuptures welded out of small pieces of metal. This particular piece of art is ordered from the artist to a school yard sulpture for the Tesoma suburban area in 1975,

In the link you can see my few shots, and what kind of surroundings the scuplture has. In 1970's school yards have been not too cosy or playful. This is going to be renovated until 2017. About time, I think...
