Patches of Blues and Greens

7.8C with sunny spells, becoming sunny with squally showers in the afternoon. Wind to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road towards Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore. As we walked down the slope towards the cycle path and looked out to sea the whole surface of the water seemed to be racing from right to left with white topped waves and patches of blues and greens appearing and disappearing. If Maeve and I weren't being blown off our feet I might have stood for a while and watched. I hope this shot gives some impression of movement in the sea.

We came home along the cycle path into the wind, and round in a long loop, heading into Carnoustie then up the main road where there is shelter from the wind before turning along for home.
