Where Gorse now blooms

....on land now just fifty yards above the sea but
having slipped another hundred yards from where
it was supporting that iconic Scarborough's Holbeck
Hall Hotel. The roots of this gorse may well be
brushing the dining room tables so carefully
attended for more more than one hundred years
before that for visitors who not only loved the
views from this Hotel but the care and attention
lavished on them by a succession of dedicated
hoteliers.
