Stradbroke competition camp
Apparently, what made the nit picking and pettiness of the 'advisors' (not assessors) bearable were the very cool activities on offer. This is my eldest on his way to a 14 milk crate tower.
As one of the advisors, myself, I found it really hard to demand levels of thought, organisation and pre-planning that would be challenging for some adults, never mind 12 and 13 year old kids. Some did pretty well and other kids would have been thanking their lucky stars that it was ONLY for 4 nights and no longer.
Our two patrols did really well for their first attempt, gaining points and achieving a level of proficiency that made them and their leaders proud.
