"Xin Nian Kuai Le" Shanghai Style

Happy New Year!  Or Happy Chinese New Year! 

New Year is celebrated for at least a week here.  And everyone celebrates with fireworks - during the day, and all night long.  This one was set off right outside the window.  The apartment is on the 25th floor!  Someone said that Chinese New Year is like being in a war zone.  I can believe it.  Looking out across the tops of the buildings, all of them were alight with fireworks - big fireworks.  It was really exciting to see!  This is something I will never forget!
