Winter wonderland!

An early start this morning as the taxi picked us up at 07:00 to take us to Zurich airport for our flight home. The hotel laid on tea and coffee for us in reception and had prepared a packed lunch for our journey. 

It had snowed throughout the night and we woke to a winter wonderland - everywhere covered by a fresh layer of snow. It was absolutely stunning.

This shot was taken from the taxi as we were coming down the Flexenstrasse mountain pass from Lech. Most of the pass is now under tunnels in order to protect travellers from avalanches and to keep the road open year round.
