Red sky at night
The weather has been distinctly "off" for the last couple of days. Cold, windy, raining. This evening, as I was leaving my dad's place, I rang W to tell him I'd be in soon with the supper (fish and chips - it is Friday, after all), and then said - "Oh no, I'll have to take some photos first". The wind had dropped and it was a lovely evening, with a matching glorious sky.
I was worried the colours would fade very quickly, so took some pictures from outside his flat. Then I drove a short distance, and stopped to take a few more. I then drove almost all the way to the chip shop. As I was passing the parking for the Roman town of Venta Icenorum, there was still quite a lot of colour in the sky, so I took a final few from there.
I wish I had known the colour would last, as that view would have been the best if I had got there 10 or 15 minutes earlier, instead of messing around in Hethersett!
As it is, none of them are ideal, as I wasn't best placed for uninterrupted views of the sky, but the best of the bunch were from the second stopping point.
I hope the red sky at night lives up to its promise - though I will be unlikely to get much done in the garden tomorrow, as I working a locum shift. But there are a couple of jobs I would like to do before I start work at 2pm.
