Wren

I had popped into the park to see whether there was any frogspawn that needed a permanent home in our very best tadpool pond (I'm sure the frogs won't mind an addition to the family). I found only one, very dead, frog with spawn but it was too revolting to collect any (actually, I did try, and was revolted). The absence of any other frogs or spawn may indicate that the frogs have finally given up on the area that was once a thriving pond but is now merely a damp patch of weeds. 

On a happier note, I saw this wren hopping in and out of a hollow log and which provided a more uplifting blip.
