Salt farming on Fish Isle

We didn't have the best start to the day as Andy discovers that the 50 USD note that was in his back pocket last night is no longer there!  He also had our room key in there and took it out in the road outside our guest house in a hurry to get in and use the loo!  Oh well ... it could have been worse.  We just hope a Cambodian who could use the cash has found it rather than another tourist.

We hire mountain bikes and head to Fish Isle which is over a couple of bridges from the mainland.  We were attempting to get to the sea but after cycling on red, dusty tracks for sometime we give up ... we're going to the Islands tomorrow anyway.  Salt is a major Kampot export and we cycle past many of these salt flats on our route.

We've decided to go to the Island of Koh Rong Sanloem tomorrow.  Its one of the larger and more easily accessible ones but still quiet.  We had almost decided to go to one of the smaller, more remote ones but it looks as though island hopping will be expensive and we want to spend a good few days wherever we go so want enough to keep us occupied.
