Penguin Post!!
How long does it take for a postcard to go from Antarctica to Scotland? Answer: one month and a day!
We have received our pc from the my Sis and CJ all the way from the Britain's most southerly PO - The Penguin Post Office in Port Lockroy on the Antarctic Peninsula. Definitely one for the fridge door.
Only the most dedicated get to work at this Post Office and I admit the idea of it seemed rather tempting until I discovered there is no running water and the island is the size of a football pitch with about 2000 penguins, which are very smelly, for company. The link is a virtual tour of the Museum and PO.
