Pulmonaria 'Blue Ensign'

Really, really cold but bright this afternoon. The breeze was sharp and cutting making it seem like hard work. More weeding in the hydrangea / paeonia border. Planted out the grass from yesterday's blip and then found the ideal spot for this little pulmonaria. I blipped it recently because the tiny blue flowers are just lovely but it's not doing very well with its foliage. It has been hardening off for a few weeks now and the foliage is appearing gradually. So I gave it a good talking to along the lines of: you've got a big job to do here. You need to cover all this ground at the back of the border and soften the edges of all these stones. You're not just a pretty face. Look at your big pink sister over there with lovely silver spotted foliage as well as pink flowers. You can do it. I will keep checking.
Then I sowed some seeds of Ridolfia Goldenspray, made an apple pie and a lemon meringue pie. Time to stop and rest.
