Fields of Blue Bells
Less than a mile from the Dartmoor honeypot of Haytor where at weekends and holidays , crowds gather in their hundreds, there lays the old farm of Emsworthy and for most of the time its only distinguishing feature is the old barn with the red roof, set among ancient fields.
For a week or so at the beginning of June these fields are awash with the color and scent of blue bells, to such an extent that I find the scene hard to photograph in a way that would do justice to it.
I have been watching the fields for a few weeks now and this morning I think that they were at their peek. I intend to go back tomorrow early to have another try of capturing this annual display., so you may see them again!!
